CNA Job Description

CNAs work closely with our nursing staff, and help provide medical care, in addition to aide care. Being a CNA is a great entry into nursing and the medical field. We offer tremendous opportunity for growth within our organization!

At Southern Comfort, our ideal CNA candidate is compassionate, caring, and able to develop strong relationships with patients. We’re also looking for somebody with past home care agency experience, who understands the more in-depth connections that are formed

Job Requirements

  • 6 months of home care experience
  • Level 2 background check
  • Current TB rest (read within the last year)
  • Current CPR card
  • HIV/AIDS course certificate
  • CNA license

    Home Health Aide Job Duties

    Private duty CNAs at Southern Comfort aid with daily living to help seniors age in place while being comfortable in their own home. They also work closely with our RNs and LPNs to provide more in-depth patient care.

    Job duties include:

    • Daily living assistance with toileting, bathing, dressing, eating, and grooming
    • Companion services & transportation
    • Gathering supplies
    • Assisting nurses with checking heart rate and blood pressure
    • Assisting with certain procedures and documenting information
